New page

{{pubdate|18|June|2006}}
I have been the week in Budva, Montenegro, at the [http://www.eswc2006.org/ ESWC2006]. It was lovely. The keynotes were inspiring, the talks had a good quality, and the [http://www.semwiki.org/ SemWiki workshop] was plain great. Oh, and the [http://www.eswc2006.org/poster-papers/FP11-Voelkel.pdf Semantic Wikipedia] won the best poster award!

But what is much more interesting is the magic that [http://wiki.eswc2006.org/index.php/Tom_Heath Tom Heath], the Semantic Web Technologies Co-ordinator, managed: the ESWC website is a [http://www.eswc2006.org/technologies/ showcase of Semantic Web technologies]! A [http://wiki.eswc2006.org/ wiki], a [http://photos.eswc2006.org/ photo annotation tool], a [http://chat.eswc2006.org/ chat], a [http://search.eswc2006.org/ search], a [http://www.bibsonomy.org/user/stumme/eswc+2006 bibliography server], a [http://www.dbin.org/downloads.php rich semantic client], an [http://www.eswc2006.org/technologies/ontology ontology], the award winning [http://prauw.cs.vu.nl:8080/flink-eswc/? flink]... try it out!

Now I am in Croatia, and taking my first real break since I started on the Semantic Web. Offline for three weeks.

Yay.
